What is Yoga?

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are breath control, postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility), and simple meditation.

What are the benefits of Yoga?

Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, and is especially beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains-including lower back pain, depression and stress. Regular practice of Yoga brings the whole body mind into harmony and balance, helping you to feel calmer, happier and more fulfilled.

I’ve never done Yoga before, will I be okay?

Absolutely! We give options for all levels in our classes and encourage you to listen to your body and take it at your own pace. We understand that it can be scary coming for the first time, but we’re a friendly and welcoming group. We are happy to have a chat with you on the phone before your free first session to answer any concerns you might have.

I have an injury, will I be okay?

This will depend on the nature of the injury. We have gentle classes and give a range of options for all abilities. However we strongly recommend speaking with a medical professional (your GP or physiotherapist) before making changes to the current level of physical activity you are doing. We are happy to discuss your concerns on the phone before your free taster session.

What do I need to bring to do/bring to class?

Yoga should be practised on an empty stomach. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Hydrate before class as it is not recommended to drink during a yoga class. Mats are provided initially, but you may wish to purchase your own if you decide to practice more regularly. Bring some warm clothing for relaxation at the end of class. You should make the instructor aware of any illness or injury prior to the start of the class.

Is parking available?

Yes we have on-site as well as road side parking.

I want to come every week, how much is it?

We have a range of options available to suit different people. The best way to decide which option would suit you is to book in for a free taster class, where we will be able to discuss the different options together and find what suits you best.
